Having
arrived at the conclusion that playing golf 100+ times a year, building golf
clubs and maintaining a golf website doesn't deplete enough of my limited time
and even more limited resources; I jumped at the opportunity to obtain an MG -
more than 25 years after owing my first one. MGs and golf do share a common
thread. Both were invented in Great Britain, adopted and loved here in the
colonies - and, like the golf swing, an MG seems to always require a bit of
constant tinkering to keep all the parts working in concert.

The little beast that got me hooked on the marque - the '71 Midget that was our "family car" (to use that term very loosely!) until we realized that Midgets weren't designed with pregnant women in mind. Here are the only two pics known to exist of that MG. |
