I just got my Mosin back from
Frank. He did a great job of installing the mount for my PU. When I
pulled it out of the box I almost didn't recognize the rifle as
Frank had put it into a new stock after a chunk of the original
stock had broken off while he was inletting for the mount. He also
threw in a cleaning rod for me. I think Frank went the extra mile to
make the deal right and I recommend him highly. Thanks again Frank.
Bought a Tula ex-sniper from
Aztec and after seeing how really nice it was, I contacted Frank
Robertson who's ad is on the front page of Gunboards. He restores
these rifles to their original configuration. He patiently answered
my many questions and gave me the options for his work. The rifle
arrived back yesterday, well packed aboard the BBT and is beautiful!
Frank, thank you! Your work is top-notch! Anyone who sends a rifle
to you for your magic should be really pleased! Will post again
after final sight in! And thanks to Aztec for providing a fine base
to start from.
I just received my 1943
Izhevsk M91/30 with a repro sniper scope and mount back from Frank
who has the advertisement for restoring ex-snipers on the homepage
here. It is simply outstanding. I will post up pics in the sniper
section when I get them done. All I can say is that his work is
first rate and the price very reasonable. The inletting for the
mount was exceptional and I am tickled pink!
I am so glad I didn't try to mount the scope myself(that's what I

I received my
Mosin-Nagant PU restoration back from Frank Robertson of
Collierville, TN this week. It was one of the stripped SAMCO
rifles purchased from Marcus' lot. I had a Russian PU scope,
